KCNA is Still Accepting Applications!
KCNA is currently still accepting applications for 1st grade for the 2017 / 2018 School year. Families who apply now will be offered a spot (while they are still available) or added to the waitlist in the order applications are received. We are no longer accepting applications for Pre-K as all slots are filled and there is a full waiting list. Scroll to the bottom of the page to request a seat!
For Families Completing Enrollment
If you have received a letter offering you a seat for next year, please complete your online enrollment forms (you will receive an email from “Welcome to the Parent Portal” with a username and password to complete these forms) and attend one of our enrollment fairs (see calendar on right) or schedule an appointment to turn in your required documents. If you do not have access to a computer or have questions about completing the online forms, we can help you when you come to the school. All families applying to attend KCNA must live within the Kansas City Missouri Public School District. Priority consideration will be given to students who meet the following criteria and who apply by March 6th:
- Students who attended KCNA during the previous school year
- Siblings of current KCNA students
- Students who live in the Wendell Phillips neighborhood
- Students who live in the Urban Neighborhood Initiative (UNI) boundary
- Children of current full-time KCNA employees
- Any child within the KCPS boundary
